She travels to the imperial city and, with the help of Mushu, kills Shan Yu and saves the emperor.

This film was a great success, grossing over $304 million worldwide. It was praised for its animation, plot, characters, and musical score. It won several Annie Awards, including Best Animated Feature.

The 2020 live - action Mulan is directed by Niki Caro and is an adaptation of Disneys 1998 animated film.
